The vidyalaya is sponsored by the Proof and Experimental Establishment in short PXE way back in 1972 to fulfill the aspiration of the defence employees by imparting uniform and quality education and to persue the studies of their wards on account of frequent transfer across the country .The Vidyalaya started with a limited class in temporary building has emerged as one of the premier educational institution in the district by not only catering to the needs of the wards of PXE but also ITR and other central Govt. departments, state govt. and PSU etc. By virtue of its performance in academics and outstanding performance of the students already passed, this Vidyalaya has been immensely popular among the parents and general public .The strength of the students has gone beyond one thousand and many more aspiring to persue their studies are deprived for certain administrative compulsions and admission policy.
